CONNECT WITH HALIFAX UMC

Want to get connected?
We have a place for you!

Halifax UMC offers a variety of ways for you and your family to get connected with our church and community. Each Sunday morning at 9:30 am, a group of church members gather for a relaxed time of fellowship, breakfast and (a lot) of coffee! At 10:30 am, we begin our worship service. During worship, we have a choir you may join, a children's message and children's church available for any child that wants to participate, and lastly we have plenty of opportunities to help lead worship! If you would like to read scripture, lead a Psalter reading, or help serve Holy Communion, please get in contact with Pastor Avery for more information!

Our United Methodist Women meet on the Monday after the second Sunday of each month at 3 pm in the fellowship hall. At these meetings they gather to pray, read scripture, and focus on various missions or opportunities to serve.

We also participate in various activities and outreach programs in and for the community. We partner with local food banks to donate non-perishable food items, have helped package 10,000+ meals with Rise Against Hunger, served hot-dogs during the Halifax 4th of July celebration. We also host Vacation Bible School on a yearly basis for our children and the children of Halifax County, we participate in the Halifax Christmas Parade, donate meals for our community at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and also serve in Christmas in Halifax by offering crafts, baked goods, and our famous Brunswick Stew!

Halifax UMC is blessed to have many ways to serve one another and our community. We welcome you to work alongside us as we seek to love God, love one another, and make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world!
