CONNECT WITH HALIFAX UMC

Want to get connected?
We have a place for you!

Halifax UMC offers a variety of ways for you and your family to get connected with our church and community. Each Sunday morning at 9:30 am, a group of church members gather in the fellowship hall for a continental breakfast , coffee and juice. You are welcome to join them. They fold the church bulletins and often sign cards to mail to the sick or shut ins. At 10:30 am, we begin our worship service. The service is a blended service, mixing traditional hymns with contemporary praise songs. Pastor Scott often accompanies the singing with his guitar and sometime we throw in a Cajon "box drum". We always have a special moment for the Young Disciples. Lay people (young or old) participate in the service as ushers, acolytes, communion servers or scriptures readers.

Our United Methodist Women meet on the second Monday of each month at 3 pm in the fellowship hall. At these meetings they gather to pray, read scripture, and focus on various missions or opportunities to serve.

We also participate in various activities and outreach programs in and for the community. We partner with local food banks to donate non-perishable food items, have helped package 10,000+ meals with Rise Against Hunger, and in the fall always serve up our famous Brunswick Stew!

Halifax UMC is blessed to have many ways to serve one another and our community. We welcome you to work alongside us as we seek to love God, love one another, and make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world!
